Dear Ellen:

Thanks for the message. I'm glad to hear you are staying

the course, since you don't want to have to go through this again

and I'm sure you will do well from what you say. As I mentioned

after the last class to students asking about make-up quizzes, I'll

print out a full set to have with me on next Tuesday so anyone with

a good reason for missing it the first time will have a chance to do

their make-up then after completing quiz 10. From past experience,

it won't take long for you to do quiz 10 even though it will have more

than the usual number of questions (probably about 50) so there'll

be plenty of time to do make-up quizzes and my Course Evaluation

Form before the following class makes us leave the room.

See you in class, and good luck!

Regards,

CHG

Subject: Ames 5 Quiz

Hi Professor Gibson. My name is Chi-Yeon Yu and I needed to make up Quiz

1. You told me to email you and remind you to print it out for me for

Tues. I also wanted to thank you for your encouragement. I had emailed

you a letter of frustration and you had told me to stick it through.

I've been trying my best to stick it through and get all of my work done.

Thank you Professor! I'll see you in class.

Sincerely,

Chi-Yeon Yu
