Directions

In order to get to the UCSD by car, please consider the little map of the main San Diego highways displayed left. The campus of UCSD is located just north of La Jolla. A printable (PDF) map with (walking) directions will help you navigate the UCSD campus to reach the office of Raymond de Callafon at Room 1607 on the first floor within the Engineering Building Unit 1 (EBU-1).

In case you are coming from the South of La Jolla (coming, for example, from the San Diego airport), consider the following directions:

• Take Interstate 5 NORTH.
• EXIT on GILMAN DR.
• TURN LEFT at the stop sign onto GILMAN DR.
• Continue for about 1 1/2 miles on GILMAN DR.
• You enter the UCSD campus when you see a UCSD information booth on the right.
• Continue on GILMAN DR. and once you hit RUSSELL DR. the GILMAN PARKING STRUCTURE is on the left for ample visitor parking with a short walk to EBU-1. See printable (PDF) map with (walking) directions.
• By car, continue on GILMAN DR. and make a LEFT TURN at VOIGT DR.
• At the T split, TURN RIGHT to continue on VOIGT DR.
• At the first 4-way intersection either LEFT or RIGHT on VOIGT DR is (limited) visitor parking.
• TURN LEFT on VOIGT DR. to reach (the back of) EBU-1 building.
• The office of Raymond de Callafon is at Room 1607 on the first floor within the Engineering Building Unit 1 (EBU-1).

In case you are coming from the North of La Jolla, consider the following directions:

• Take Interstate 5 SOUTH.
• EXIT on GENESEE AVE and go LEFT (west).
• TURN LEFT on N TORREY PINES RD.
• TURN LEFT on NORTH POINT RD.
• You enter the UCSD campus when you see a UCSD information booth on the right.
• Continue straight and follow JOHN JAY HOPKINS DR. around the athletic field.
• Once you hit VOIGT DR or VOIGT LN, the HOPKINS PARKING STRUCTURE is on the left for ample visitor parking with a short walk to EBU-1. See printable (PDF) map with (walking) directions.
• By car, TURN RIGHT (down the hill) on VOIGT DR.
• Down the hill at the 4-way intersection either LEFT or RIGHT on VOIGT DR is (limited) visitor parking.
• TURN RIGHT on VOIGT DR. to reach (the back of) EBU-1 building.

At the UCSD information booth you can get maps of the campus and parking information and visitor parking passes. Keep in mind that the visitor parking passes in general can not be used in the Gilman or Hopkins parking structures. To park in these parking structures, you simply buy a visitor parking ticket in the structures.
