Mission

The Combustion Diagnostics and Environmental Measurements Lab

is dedicated to leadership in development of new diagnostics for combustion and environmental problems, and the understanding of interesting combustion and reaction physics.

Areas in which we contribute:

  • Provide physical insight into energy conversion processes

  • Minimize harmful emissions while maximizing efficiency

  • Make real-time measurement of chemical species concentrations

  • Provide sizing and composition of airborne particles

  • Measure strain and temperature in structures
