It is with great pleasure that we announce a workshop on High Energy Density Physics (HEDP). The goals of the workshop are:

i) To exchange ideas on the current status of High Energy Density Physics

ii) To identify future directions

iii) To encourage students and post-docs to discuss their research


The main focus of the workshop will be to evaluate the current status of HEDP and promote collaboration between university campuses. Graduate students and post-doctoral researchers will be encouraged to give oral presentations.

The Workshop will be held on the UC San Diego campus, which is located approximately 14 miles north of San Diego airport. There are limited funds available for accomodation/boarding costs.
